Plot Summary

Plot: The Big Hit follows the professional and romantic misadventures of Mel (Mark Wahlberg), a beleaguered hit man who is drawn, along with his professional associates-Cisco (Lou Diamond Phillips), Crunch (Bokeem Woodbine), Vince (Antonio Sabato, Jr.) and Gump (Robin Dunne)-into a moonlighting gig that turns sour. What seemed like a quick and easy weekend kidnap job backfires when their victim, a rich industrialist's daughter (China Chow), turns out to be the godchild of their boss. To make matters worse, Mel's mistress (Lela Rochon) absconds with his earnings just as his fiancée's (Christina Applegate) disapproving parents arrive for a visit. Mel finds himself dodging bullets while trying to impress his potential in-laws, as his carefully constructed life starts to unravel.
Rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America.
