Plot Summary

Plot: The last thing Emma Moriarty (Sally Field) expected to find in Eunice, Arizona was love. But when she and her son (Corey Haim) move to town she suddenly finds herself the object of Murphy Jones' (Garner) affection. As this endearing comic love story from director Martin Ritt ("Norma Rae") unfolds, Moriarty struggles to make a living as a horse trainer on a small desert ranch only to find herself courted by Jones, the town's most eligible widower. As the lovable, free-wheeling pharmacist warms his way into Moriarty and her son's hearts, trouble arrives in the form of her ex, Bobby Jack (Brian Kerwin). Jack needs a place to stay, forming an intricate circle with Emma's son liking Murphy, but desperately wanting his father back.
Rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America.
