Closer, On Demand Movie, Drama

Plot Summary

Plot: Academy Award-winning director Mike Nichols (Angels In America, The Graduate) brings Patrick Marber's acclaimed theatrical tour de force to the screen, an erotically charged tale of love, loneliness, and betrayal featuring Oscar winner Julia Roberts and Oscar nominees Jude Law, Natalie Portman, and Clive Owen. A bitingly funny and honest look at modern relationships, Closer is the story of the chance meetings, instant attractions, and casual betrayals of four strangers: Anna (Roberts), a successful photographer and recent divorcee, Dan (Law), an aspiring novelist who writes obituaries, handsome, self-assured dermatologist Larry (Clive Owen) and the enigmatic Alice (Portman). Set in contemporary London, Closer is funny and powerful, reminiscent of Nichols classics Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? and Carnal Knowledge.
Rated R by the Motion Picture Association of America.
