Plot Summary

Plot: With the help of his friends Amy and Marty, 12-year-old Mike sets out to reconcile his astronaut father and retired astronaut grandfather. At the same time, power-crazed oil tycoon Richard Carson sets out to convince the world that the original Apollo landings were a hoax so that he can claim the moon himself, exploit its resources and use them to create monstrous weapons. So NASA gets a Saturn rocket out of retirement to beat Carson to the moon. Working on their plan for reconciliation, Mike, Amy, Grandpa Frank and Marty's pet lizard are in the module when it launches prematurely, and they embark on a mission to destroy Carson's mining ship and recapture the stolen flag from Tranquility Base, while healing the family.
Rated PG by the Motion Picture Association of America for action, language and some thematic elements.
