In many ways, 11 year old Tim is the same as all boys his age. What makes his life different is that his father died before he was born and he's spent much of his time alone. One day, Tim's life changes completely, as he discovers a photo of a researcher living in Scotland, who looks exactly like his dead father! Overcome with excitement, Tim is immediately compelled to find out the truth. He sneaks off and makes his way to Inverness, the renowned Scottish village on the banks of the legendary Loch Ness. What awaits Tim surpasses even his boldest expectations. As magical as it has all been, when crooks kidnap his parents to get their hands on the fabled Philosopher's Stone, Tim discovers that he himself holds the greatest secret of all.
