After young Sean Donovan witnesses the brutal murder of his mother during a Brooklyn carjacking, he becomes obsessed with finding her killer. At age 17, he is a quiet, straight-A student by day and a self-appointed hero by night. Homicide detective Teresa Ames takes an interest in Sean's case, but is unaware of his vigilante activities. The two become allies by day and adversaries by night.
