For single-night rentals, when are DVD's due back at a Redbox?

The $1 per night rental period ends the following evening at 9pm. Just FYI, the single day record for watching a movie is 9.3 times. Rent early! Breakfast is a great time.

What if I'm late?

At Redbox, there is no such thing as a late fee. Each night you enjoy the DVD is only an additional $1.00. + tax.

How do I get a receipt for my DVD rental?

Enter your e-mail address when you rent and redbox will send you three confirmations: DVD rental confirmation, DVD return confirmation, and a receipt of your total rental charges once you've returned the DVD(s) you rented.

Why was a hold put on my credit card when I rented DVD's?

As part of fraud prevention, there are times redbox needs to put a hold of up to $10 per DVD on to a customer's account. This may be the result of a prior denial on the card. We don't like to do it, but it helps us keep costs down so we can still rent great DVDs at $1 a night.

How can I receive promotional codes for free redbox rentals and other offers?

Redbox loves to bestow wonderful offers on new and regular customers when the whim strikes. Which is fairly often to be quite honest. To be assured of inclusion on the list, just click on this link to be magically transported to the area where you can sign up.

How do I redeem promotional codes at a redbox?

What do I do if my DVD is unplayable or the wrong DVD is in the case?

Please contact our Customer Service Group at 1.866.REDBOX3. All Redbox customer service reps have personally been through our proprietary Rental Trauma Simulator and know what it's like to have a scratched disc ruin the last 20 minutes of a film or to open one case and find another movie instead. They will resolve your issue. Please note that Redbox cannot refund charges that are older than 90 days.

What if I lose the DVD or DVD case?

Oh boy. Now you've done it. Just call our Customer Service Group at 1.866.REDBOX3 for instructions to return DVD's without a case.

For lost DVD's, your credit or debit card will automatically be charged $25.00 + tax after 25 days. We're all adults here.

What do I do if the DVD Rental kiosk won't accept my returned rental?

Survey says: Call 1.866.REDBOX3 for prompt resolution to your problem.

What if my credit or debit card is charged incorrectly or my credit or debit transaction is denied?

Isn't this really just getting to be a tiresome, repetitive, unimaginative answer on our part? But it's such a good one: Contact our Customer Service Group at 1.866.REDBOX3 for assistance. If you have the last four digits of your credit or debit card available for verification, we can zip through the correction process. Please note that Redbox cannot refund charges that are older than 90 days.

Can I return my DVD to any Redbox location?

Yes, you can return your DVD to any redbox location nationwide.

Why do you ask for my zip code and my e-mail address?

We match your zip code to the credit or debit card billing records as an additional security measure beyond our encrypted software. Your e-mail address lets us provide you with an electronic receipt and it allows us to send you special promotions in the future. Your e-mail address will not be sold or shared with any other contacts.
